EIMA Real

Robotics and Electronics for Agriculture Live

EIMA Real (Robotics and Electronics for Agriculture Live) is the area between pavilions 35/37 that EIMA 2024 has dedicated to demonstrations of autonomous agricultural machinery. Agricultural robotics is a growing sector that improves the quality of life of farmers and solves problems in the agricultural sector such as the shortage of manpower for harvesting activities.

EIMA Real has two different operating spaces, one of rows of vines reproducing a vineyard, and one with walls simulating an apple orchard.

The first area has machines for vineyard operations offered by Merlo (IT), Field Robotics (IT), Sitia (FR) and Free Green Nature (IT). “In-the-field” vineyard machines can actually be used in different operational settings, as they are mostly autonomous tool carriers.

In parallel, in the second operating space, demonstrations of apple harvesting machines offered by Tevel (Israel) and Pek Automotive (Slovenia) are taking place.

Two daily demonstration sessions are planned in the area: one in the morning starting at 10:00 am and one in the afternoon, starting at 2:00 pm. There will be an introductory presentation in which the manufacturing companies describe the machines' characteristics, functions and special features.
